Charity Lewis  is a recognized community leader, entrepreneur, and activist dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening community connections. A 2024 Woman of Distinction with the Girl Scouts of Louisiana Pines, Charity serves as a member of the Mission Delivery Team and is the primary troop leader for Troop 202. She also contributes her leadership as Executive Secretary of the 705 Club.

As the driving force behind Magnolia Kids Club Inc., Charity brings over six years of event planning expertise, ensuring the seamless execution of impactful community programs and events. Her influence extends into business and academic circles, where she is known for leading conferences and speaking engagements focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and youth development.

Charity’s contributions have earned her recognition from the Daily Advertiser as a Business Leader of Acadiana and a “Person to Watch in 2024.” She is also a respected member of the Local Chamber of Commerce and has lent her expertise as a guest speaker for Culinary Arts programs.

Passionate about mentorship and community building, Charity continues to inspire young people and entrepreneurs alike through her leadership, vision, and commitment to service.

Somer Lewis

Somer Lewis plays an integral role in shaping our organization’s vision and strategic direction. With a strong background in leadership and education, she brings both expertise and heart to every initiative she leads.

A former Program Director at Unitech Training Academy, Mrs. Lewis has built a reputation for excellence in higher education and workforce training. She skillfully oversees administrative responsibilities, contributes to key decision-making processes, and ensures that all operations remain aligned with the organization’s mission.

Somer is widely respected as a community leader and educator. Her exceptional instructional skills have earned her recognition as one of Acadiana’s leading instructors for seven consecutive years. In 2023, she was honored with nationwide recognition as an Exceptional Educator, a testament to her dedication to student success and her impact as a Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor.

Beyond her professional career, Somer is also deeply engaged in service and mentorship. She was named a Woman of Distinction with the Girl Scouts of Louisiana Pines in 2025 and proudly serves as the leader of Troop 202, where she inspires and guides the next generation of girls through leadership, service, and personal growth.

Her work—whether in the classroom, within the community, or in her leadership roles—demonstrates a steadfast commitment to empowering others and creating meaningful change.

Lindsey Woods is a dedicated community activist and owner of Sovereign College, with a strong background in both education and nursing. Passionate about giving back, she actively serves her community through partnerships with S.M.I.L.E. and the Department of Children and Family Services, working to help underprivileged individuals achieve academic success. A committed advocate for youth empowerment, Lindsey fosters a love of learning and a culture of respect in the classroom, guiding students to grow both academically and personally.

Her impact extends well beyond the school setting. As a Board Member and Program Director of Magnolia Kids Club, as well as Co-Leader of its Girl Scout Troop, Lindsey plays a vital role in shaping programs that nurture confidence, leadership, and community engagement in young girls. Through her vision, leadership, and dedication, she continues to create meaningful opportunities that inspire and uplift children and families throughout the Magnolia Kids Club community.

Madalynn Sanders plays a vital role at Magnolia Kids Club as the lead for volunteer recruitment and youth mentorship programming. Her ability to connect with the community has brought in a diverse group of dedicated volunteers, helping to expand the club’s reach and impact. She ensures every volunteer is well-prepared and supported, creating a strong foundation for consistent, quality programming.

In addition to recruiting, Madalynn designs and leads youth mentorship initiatives that empower children through guidance, enrichment activities, and meaningful relationships. Her programs help kids build confidence, develop life skills, and feel a strong sense of belonging. Thanks to her leadership, Magnolia Kids Club continues to be a space where both volunteers and youth thrive.
